Les jeudis de Saint-Maclou
Built between 1437 and 1517, the Church of Saint-Maclou in Rouen is a gem of the flamboyant Gothic style. A remarkable Renaissance organ remains inside the Western facade and is renowned both for its aethestics and acoustics.
Its buffet was made by Nicolas Castille. In 2014 it was awarded the 2nd Prize in the national contest «Concours des Lumières».
La Maison Illuminée founded Les Jeudis de Saint-Maclou in partnership with the Diocese of Rouen.
During summer at 6:30pm in the church, La Maison Illuminée runs a series of short music events inspired by the surroundings.
Les Jeudis de Saint-Maclou are open to everyone: this is the ideal opportunity to cross the stunning entrance porch and discover the church, either during daytime or by night.
